No. 23 Nebraska falls to Grand Canyon University on the road

LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – Nebraska baseball lost 3-1 to Grand Canyon University on Monday afternoon.

The Huskers got up in a hurry, scoring first in the first inning to go up 1-0.

GCU tied things up with a solo home run in the fifth inning.

In the bottom of the eighth, GCU scored 2, taking a 3-1 lead.

Leading the way for the Huskers was Case Sanderson, who went 2-for-4 with a double, while Joshua Overbeek went 1-for-3 with a double.

Cayden Brumbaugh scored Nebraska’s one run, going 1-for-3 on the afternoon. 

Nebraska will be back in action this Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a three-game series at Louisiana. First pitch of Friday’s series opener between the Huskers and Ragin’ Cajuns is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
