No arrests made in deadly downtown Lincoln bar shooting; investigation ongoing
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – No arrests have been made as of Friday in a deadly downtown Lincoln shooting last weekend, police say.
Assistant Police Chief Jason Stille said investigators are still tracking down witnesses of the shooting Sunday at the Royal Hookah Bar and Lounge near 16th and O streets.
A security guard — who has not been identified — shot and killed 32-year-old Gregory Little outside the bar, according to police.
Investigators have tracked down some Snapchat videos of the shooting but are looking for better-quality footage, Stille said.
A total of four shots were fired, and investigators have taken three guns into evidence.
At a vigil Monday, Vernadine Taylor — Little’s mother — said she will fight for justice.
“I just need justice for my son,” she said. “And I will get justice if it takes the last penny of my life. Until I die, he will get justice.”
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
