No one injured in vehicle fire on I-80 near North Platte

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A vehicle caught fire Friday morning on Interstate 80 in western Nebraska.

Nebraska 511 reported the fire on eastbound I-80 at mile marker 184, just east of North Platte.

The right lane of I-80 was blocked due to the fire.

In a post on X, the Nebraska State Patrol’s Troop D said no one was injured in the fire.

“The occupants were forced to evacuate their vehicle, but thankfully, they were dressed for the cold weather,” the troop said in the post.
