No threat found on UNO’s campus after reports of ‘active incident’

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officers responded to a swatting call at the University of Nebraska Omaha on Saturday evening.

In a Facebook post, the Omaha Police Department said that a large police presence was on campus “following reports of an active incident.”

After an investigation, the university and authorities confirmed there was no active threat on campus, according to OPD.

“We appreciate the cooperation of students, staff, and the community as officers worked to ensure everyone’s safety,” police said.

Omaha Police also thanked Douglas County 911 dispatchers for their “quick coordination and support during this incident.”
