Norfolk man sentenced for case involving sex with minor

A Norfolk man has been sentenced to nearly a year in jail for an illicit relationship with a minor.
20-year-old Luces Rasmussen pleaded guilty in Madison County District Court to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Rasmussen had been charged two counts of sexual assault of a minor for his involvement with a then 13-year-old girl.
Investigators found that the victim and then 19-year-old Rasmussen engaged in sexual relations multiple times. The victim, now 14, became pregnant and has since had the baby.
Rasmussen was sentenced to 364 days in the Madison County Jail, one day short of the maximum penalty for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A one-year sentence would have him sent to the Nebraska Department of Corrections.
