Norfolk police chief, captain on administrative leave due to work environment investigation
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The City of Norfolk gave an update Thursday regarding the police chief and captain who were placed on administrative leave last month.
The city said Police Chief Don Miller and Capt. Chad Reiman were placed on leave pending the outcome of an investigation into the work environment at the Norfolk Police Division.
The Norfolk city administrator hired an outside investigator to look into the allegations against Miller and Reiman, the city said in a press release.
Lt. Josh Bauermeister has also been placed on administrative leave due to the investigation, officials said.
Lt. Brian Tighe and Capt. Mike Bauer are still leading the police department until further notice, according to the city.
The city said they will share more information when it becomes available.
