Norris ends Skutt’s nine-year title streak, wins first championship in 10 years
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Norris volleyball team won its first Class B title in 10 years on Saturday night, snapping Omaha Skutt’s nine-year title streak.
The Titans won in five sets 25-23, 21-25, 17-25, 25-18, 15-8 at the Devaney Center.
Senior Anna Jelinek was the star for the Titans tonight, finishing the game with 22 kills on 73 total attacks.
Alli Bornschlegl followed with 15 kills, while Lexis Hasselbalch had seven.
The Sky Hawks were led by Addison West with 31 kills and 14 digs.
Norris was paced by Rya Borer with 25 digs, while Zoe Rademacher had 29 assists.
Rademacher tallied three aces towards the end of set five to help the Titans to victory.
