Norris High student donates books and toys to Lincoln first graders
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Norris High School student is donating a book and a toy to every first grader at a Lincoln elementary school.
Jaxsen Urbanovsky, a Norris junior, said his tradition of giving during the Christmas season began 11 years ago, when he donated a bicycle to a child in need.
“I did not know then, but God had so much more planned for me and my family than I knew at the time,” he said on X.
The first graders are receiving “I Promise” by LeBron James.
“This book reminds us that tomorrow’s success starts with the promises we make to ourselves and our community today,” Urbanovksy wrote.
He thanked his family and everyone else who has supported him.
