Norris stuns Lincoln Pius X with improbable buzzer beater in Nebraska high school tourney
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – What’s better than a logo 3 to tie the game with under 0.1 seconds to play? A ¾-court shot for the win.
Norris had both on Thursday.
Anything can happen on the hardwood in March, and on the floors of Pinnacle Bank Arena, something titanic transpired.
Norris went on 6-0 run in just 7 seconds to win their first-round game in the Class B state tournament.

The Titans had already beat Lincoln Pius X twice this season, and as they saying goes, it’s hard to beat a team three times.
With two minutes left in the game, it looked like that statement would be correct once again.
The Thunderbolts led 47-41 with 1:29 left in the final frame.
Enter Macoy Folkerts, or “Mr. March,” as many of his teammates know him.
Folkerts made two colossal 3s in the final 1:18 of the game, none bigger than his near-half-court bomb to tie the game with 5 seconds left on clock.
“My coaches, they are always telling me let it fly,” Folkerts said. “My teammates are always telling me, ‘If you catch it, let it fly. I received two great passes from my teammates and knocked those shots down.”
As for the nickname Mr. March?
“I embrace it,” he said.
But the job wasn’t finished.
Pius ran a switch-inbounds play to try to catch the Titans off guard, but Kolbe Volkmer’s pass ran a little high to Alexander Weber, forcing him to throw an errant pass.
That pass, with 2 second on the clock, was picked off by Barret Boesiger and resulted in one of the best plays anyone will ever see.

“I threw it up, and as it was going toward the basket, I saw it was looking pretty good, so I started to get hype,” Boesiger said. “I just let it fly.”
He’s proud of his team’s effort in the win.
“All we have to do is stay composed,” he said. “All we have to do is win by one point at the end of the day.”
Boesiger finished with only 3 points, but they were maybe the biggest of his career.
His shot was featured as the No. 1 play on SportsCenter’s top 10 plays on Thursday night.
Just an insane sequence for the @TitanHoops160 to win their first-round state tournament game. @MacoyFolkerts LOGO three to tie it up with 5 seconds left. @barretboesiger 3-quarters-court buzzer beater for the WIN.

“I mean this is what the state tournaments about,” head coach Jimmy Motz said. “It’s moments like this — kids making plays, the eruption of the arena. This is what they have worked for all year.”
The Titans will play Omaha Skutt Catholic at 3:15 p.m. Friday at PBA.
