North American Festival of Wales hosted for first time in Nebraska since 1929

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The North American Festival of Wales is hosted in Lincoln invites the community to enjoy different Welsh activities over Labor Day weekend.
Those activities include a marketplace and cinema inspired by Wales, a country that’s a part of the United Kingdom.
The festival has gathered many first time attendees in Lincoln.
This event highlights Welsh culture and on Saturday, the Omaha Corgi Club visited.
“This is a really important event for us across North America every year,” said Megan Williams, the executive secretary of the Welsh North America Association. “A lot of people come every year no matter where it is, so its almost like an extended family reunion.”
This event is continuing on Sunday, with the first event beginning at 10:30 a.m.
