North Lincoln body shop’s window shattered by gunfire, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating after a north Lincoln body shop’s window was shattered by gunfire.

Around 8 a.m. Monday, officers were sent to Joe’s Body Shop near 33rd Street and Cornhusker Highway on a report of vandalism.

Police said one of the shop’s windows appeared to have been damaged by gunfire.  Officers also found a .45-caliber bullet inside the windowpane.

The owner thinks the window was shattered sometime over the weekend, but police said there were no related calls in the area during that time.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
