LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln High Links were dealt a disappointing defeat by the North Platte Bulldogs on Friday night.

North Platte won the game 48-10.

The Bulldogs fed senior running back Alonzo Torrez early.

He fought through the defense and took the ball to the house for two touchdowns in the first quarter, which put North Platte up 14-0.

Lincoln High quarterback Dez Slocum went for the handoff, but a missed connection led to a fumble.

Jaxon Halverson recovered it for the Bulldogs, but North Platte was unable to use it to their advantage.

Bulldogs quarterback Caden Joneson tried handing it off as well, but there was another fumble.

Enzo Rissetto locked in the ball and secured the first down for the Links.

But Lincoln High’s excitement was short-lived.

Slocum threw an interception to the Bulldogs.

Lincoln High ends the season 3-6.
