LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – In a Zoom press conference on Tuesday, inside linebackers coach Barrett Ruud announced that walk-on linebacker Luke Reimer earned himself a scholarship. The Lincoln North Star grad played in 10 games last season as a true freshman totaling 11 tackles.

According to Rudd, he knew it was not going to take long for Reimer to earn a scholarship after seeing him do his first drills as a freshman.

“He’s been nothing but great to be around here and he’s improved every day he’s been around here,” Ruud said.

Senior inside linebacker Collin Miller also spoke on how Reimer is a player who loves the game and works hard to perfect his craft.

“He loves the game, always wants to be in the film room, always asking questions,” Miller said. “He’s going to play good ball for us this year.”
