LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people are facing charges after allegedly leading authorities on multiple pursuits near Lincoln.

The first began around 5:15 p.m. Monday, after a state trooper pulled over a pickup on Hwy. 2 east of Lincoln for failing to signal.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the driver accelerated as the trooper was standing next to the truck and left the area. The trooper followed, but stopped the pursuit as the truck entered Lincoln.

About an hour later, another trooper saw the truck on I-80 just west of the city.

When the trooper attempted to stop the truck, it once again sped off, the patrol said.

The truck was ultimately stopped a few miles away by stop sticks.

The driver, identified as Samantha Shipley, 43, and passenger, Ronell Leeson, 31, both of Johnson City, Tennessene, were arrest on numerous charges.

Troopers reportedly found drug paraphernalia, a concealed knife, and multiple credit cards that did not belong to either occupant inside the truck.
