NSP: 244 pounds of marijuana seized in Seward County traffic stop

 Authorities arrested three men after reportedly finding more than 200 pounds of marijuana in a traffic stop in Seward County. 

The Nebraska State Patrol pulled over the vehicle for speeding on Interstate 80 near Goehner. A search of the vehicle turned up 244 pounds of marijuana in the cargo area, the patrol said. 

The driver, Peter Sychamp, 52, of Sacramento, California, and passengers Pisa Phanthavong, 57, of Sacramento, and Marich Poomchat, 22, of Thailand, were arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

All three men were lodged in Seward County Jail.
