NSP: 5 pounds of cocaine seized during I-80 traffic stop

A trooper saw a vehicle speeding near mile marker 243 in Dawson County and conducted the stop, the patrol said.

A search of the vehicle turned up almost five pounds of cocaine hidden inside a backpack which was inside a suitcase in the cargo area, the patrol said.

The driver, Amanda Stuart, 40, of Buffalo, New York, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp. Stuart was lodged in Dawson County Jail.
