NSP: Chicago man arrested with fraudulent credit cards following I-80 pursuit

A Chicago man was arrested with multiple fraudulent credit cards following a pursuit on I-80, authorities said.

The Nebraska State Patrol said the patrol received a report of multiple vehicles traveling at high speeds on I-80 near Lexington Tuesday night. A trooper started pursuing one of the vehicles, reaching speeds of up to 145 miles per hour, the patrol said.

The fleeing vehicle eventually ran out of gas at mile marker 292 near Shelton, and the driver, Laquann Lashley, 30, of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested.

NSP said a search of the vehicle turned up multiple fraudulent credit cards.

Lashley was arrested for operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, driving with a revoked license, criminal possession of financial transaction devices, and traffic violations. He was lodged in Buffalo County Jail.
