LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol has completed their Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign that lasted from August 20 through September 6.

Troopers removed a total of 55 impaired drivers during the annual campaign, the effort was made possible thanks to the $25,000 grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Labor Day weekend marked the close of NSP’s 100 Days of Summer initiative, and during this time troopers have assisted more than 4,700 motorists and made 297 arrests for impaired driving.

“We encourage all motorists to be ready for changing weather and drive safely by always driving sober, avoiding distractions, and wearing a seat belt,” says Colonel Bolduc.
