NSP reminds drivers to be cautious during harvest season
Drivers should be made aware of agriculture equipment driving on roads.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska State Patrol reminds drivers to be aware of agricultural equipment traveling on roads in Nebraska during harvest season.
“Agriculture producers across Nebraska are busy moving from field to field right now, so all motorists should stay alert for slow-moving ag implements,” said Captain Martin Denton,Commander of NSP Carrier Enforcement.
“At the same time, we ask all ag producers to be safe on the roads as well.”
Combines, grain carts, tractors, and other agricultural equipment travel at slower speeds and driver visibility is often reduced.
NSP urges drivers to be careful when approaching, following, or attempting to pass farm vehicles.
“Harvest season is a busy time around Nebraska,” said Captain Denton. “We can all show our appreciation to Nebraska farmers and ranchers by keeping an eye out on the roads and helping get their valuable products to market. Let’s work together to make this a safe harvest season.”
