NU athletics announces campaign to fill Memorial Stadium virtually
The Nebraska Athletic Department on Thursday announced a "Sea of Red Sellout" campaign for the 2020 football season.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Husker fans will have an opportunity to continue to sell out Memorial Stadium – virtually.
The Nebraska Athletic Department on Thursday announced a “Sea of Red Sellout” campaign for the 2020 football season.
The department is offering packages ranging from $25-1,000, with proceeds going to Husker programs to help make up for revenue lost due to COVID-19.
The cheapest package includes one “seat” and a choice of one collector’s item, while the most comprehensive package includes two life-size cutouts placed in the Tunnel Walk, four fan cutouts inside Memorial Stadium, 40 seats filled and four collector’s items, the department said.
The cutouts will be placed in East Stadium, and the department is encouraging fans to wear red in their cutout photos. Purchasers will be able to pick up their cutouts or have them shipped (for a fee) after the season.
Fans who previously donated their 2020 season ticket and/or donation payments will count towards the sellout goal.
Nebraska also announced fans will be able to participate in a game-day video stream on Huskers.com and Facebook live. The stream will include video of pregame warmups, the Tunnel Walk, the marching band and Husker Spirit Squad, shots of fan cutouts and other features.
