O Street lanes shut down after garbage truck collides with car in Lincoln

UPDATE, 6:45 a.m. — Lincoln Police say a garbage truck ran a red light Thursday morning, leading to a crash that shut down several lanes on O Street.

Police also said the driver of the car that was hit has minor injuries.

The intersection has since been reopened.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A crash involving a dump truck and a car is shutting down several lanes on O Street Thursday morning.

The wreck was reported around 6 a.m. near South 56th and O Streets.

It looks like the car hit the dump truck head-on and ended up on the median.

The dump truck drove up onto the sidewalk next to Eyeglass World.

Right now it’s not clear who caused this wreck or if anyone was hurt.
