Oak Lake Or Holmes Lake?

Some residents near Holmes Lake are afraid Lincoln's annual fireworks display will no longer be held at Holmes Lake. The display was moved to Oak Lake near downtown Lincoln when Holmes Lake was being dredged and renovated. For the past three years, the event has been held at Oak Lake and the Lincoln's parks and recreation director says Oak Lake is a desirable location because of parking accessibility.    Although city officials haven't decided where to host the next Fourth of July Celebration, Holmes Lake residents hope the decades-old tradition of holding the display at Holmes Lake won't change.
