Lincoln officer used Taser on man who pointed finger guns at cruiser, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was shocked by a Taser early Tuesday morning after he tried hitting an officer in downtown Lincoln, police say.
Around 2:45 a.m., a 25-year-old man walked in front of a patrol car at the intersection of 12th and O Streets.
Police said the man then pointed finger guns at the cruiser, leading the officer to come out of the vehicle.
Shortly after, the man lunged at the officer, according to police.
The officer tried using a Taser to stop the man, who ran off into a nearby building.
Police said the officer found the man inside and stunned him with a Taser.
The man was taken to a local hospital before he was cited on suspicion of resisting arrest.
