Omaha authorities pull body from Missouri River
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities in Omaha pulled a body from the Missouri River on Saturday.
According to the Omaha Fire Department, a civilian called 911 around 6:30 p.m. saying they saw a body floating in the river at NP Dodge Park.
Crews were already in the water searching for three girls who went missing nearly two weeks ago and quickly responded to the call.
On April 15, Laiana Green and Lah K. Tray, both age 18, and 11-year-old Eh Cress Moo were swept away while fishing in the river.
OFD said the body was found near the south boat ramp in knee-deep water.
The coroners office is working with the families of the missing girls to try and identify the body.
