Omaha Correctional Center staff member assaulted by inmate, officials say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A staff member at the Omaha Correctional Center was assaulted Friday morning by an inmate.

Officials said the inmate threw an unknown object at the staff member, hitting them in the head.

The staff member was diagnosed with a concussion, officials said.

The assault is still under investigation.
