LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 53-year-old man was sentenced Friday for participation in a drug conspiracy.

James Lee Pokorny of Omaha was sentenced to almost seven years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to sell methamphetamine, acting U.S. Attorney Susan Lehr said in a press release.

Officials said Pokorny worked with at least one other person to distribute 126 grams of meth in Omaha in 2021.

On Sept. 13, 2021, Pokorny sold a confidential informant about 25 grams of meth.

Then, on Oct. 4 and Oct. 8, Pokorny met with his supplier and sold the informant about 52 grams and 50 grams of meth, respectively.

There is no parole in the federal system. After Pokorny’s release from prison, he will begin a three-year term of supervised release.
