Omaha native Alec Bohm selected to first career MLB All-Star game

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Omaha Roncalli grad and Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm was selected to his first career MLB All-Star game on Wednesday.
So far this season, Bohm is batting .299 while racking up 70 RBIs and blasting 11 home runs.
The 27-year-old won the fan vote with nearly 70%, beating out the San Diego Padres’ veteran third baseman Manny Machado.
Bohm is the first Phillies third baseman to start an All-Star game since Hall of Famer Scott Rolen in 2002.
The 2024 MLB All-Star game will take place on July 16 in Arlington, Texas.
