Omaha Native Dave Nabity Announces His Race For Governor

The Nebraska Governor's race is already being considered a victory for Congressman Tom Osborne, however, that didn't stop small business owner Dave Nabity from joining the race. The Omaha native calls himself a family man and life long republican. Now that same man who early in his career was the state chairman of the young republicans, and who has been awarded the small business person of the year in 2004, hopes he can become the states next govenor. Nabity who has high hopes for the govenors race, knows he will have to raise a lot of money, a task he knows will be hard. Nabity who is entering a govenors race against two big name canidates.. Incumbent republican Dave Heineman and Congressman Tom Osborne, believes even with name recognition like theirs, his chances are good.

In a recent KM3 poll, 61-percent of likely voters said they would vote for Tom Osborne, 22-percent said they would vote for Governor Heineman while only one percent said they would vote for nabity. It's numbers like those that has Nabity considered the long shot. But even with those numbers, he feels his chances are good.

Nabity is a financial advisor who started the Nabity financial group in 1984. He has been married to his wife kim for 25 years and they have seven children together.
