Omaha Police find gunshot victim near crash in shots-fired investigation

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Omaha Police are investigating after a shooting victim was found near a crash.

Officers were called to an area near Laurel Avenue and Fontenelle Boulevard on Tuesday just before 7 p.m. on report of a shooting.

They found a vehicle, thought to be involved in a shots-fired incident, which had missed a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle.

A gunshot victim was found nearby with injuries that were not life-threatening.

None of the victims in the crash needed to be hospitalized, police say.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to call Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867.

Anonymous tips leading to an arrest are eligible for a $10,000 reward, according to the Omaha Police Department.
