Omaha police officer seriously injured in car crash

An Omaha Police Officer was injured after his cruiser was hit by a car early Thursday morning. 

OPD said a woman ran a red light near 19th and Farnam causing the crash. 

The officer went to the hospital with serious injuries. The woman had minor injuries and was also hospitalized. 

The investigation is ongoing.
