Omaha Police respond to shooting that leaves two people hospitalized

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Omaha Police were called at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday on a report of shots fired.

Before they arrived near U.S. Highway 75 and McKinley Road, dispatch told them a person had been shot.

Officers said 28-year-old Tomika Bennett and 25-year-old Ieshia Kern were taken via private car to Bergan Mercy Medical Center for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing.
