One arrested in deadly shooting at southern Nebraska home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was killed Sunday in a shooting in Superior, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

Just before midnight, the patrol and the Nuckolls County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at a home in Superior.

Authorities found 35-year-old Molly Gruber with a gunshot wound inside the home, the patrol said.

She was taken to a hospital in Superior, where she was later pronounced dead.

Sebastian Dunbar, 30, who had stayed at the scene, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and domestic violence.

Investigators determined that the shooting happened during an argument between Dunbar and Gruber, according to the patrol.

A child was inside the home at the time of the shooting.  They have since been placed in protective custody.

An investigation is ongoing.
