One confirmed tornado in Webster County; several sightings from Tuesday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several tornado reports came from storms late Monday into Tuesday in Nebraska.
One report came from south central Nebraska from the overnight hours, while five reports came in northeast Nebraska during the late morning and early afternoon of April 16th.
These sightings in northeast Nebraska between Columbus and Norfolk were confirmed by storm spotters and photos and videos from social media.

Meanwhile, a damage survey has been completed by the National Weather Service of Hastings confirming a tornado in Webster County.
This tornado was on the ground northwest of Cowles for less than a mile in open country before crossing U.S. Highway 281 just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Corn stalks were found tossed about and minor tree damage was noted. The estimated peak wind gusts were 65 mph with a path width of 30 yards.
