One dead after crash with semi near York

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was killed Tuesday morning in a crash west of York.

It happened between 10 and 11 a.m. on Highway 34 near the entrance to the York Municipal Airport, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

An eastbound SUV crossed into the westbound lane and hit a semitrailer head-on, authorities said.

The driver of the SUV died, but the semi driver was not injured.

The sheriff’s office is working to identify the family of the victim.

More information will be released on Wednesday, authorities said.
