One dead in semi crash near Seward

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – One person is dead after a semi crash in Seward County early Sunday morning, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office was dispatched to a collision involving two semis on Interstate 80 south of Seward.
According to the sheriff’s office, a semi was stopped on the shoulder when another semi traveling west rear-ended the trailer.
The stopped semi had two occupants in the cabin. The semi that caused the crash had one occupant.
The driver who law enforcement says caused the crash was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two people involved were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Both were treated and released.
The crash is still being investigated.
