One dead, one critically injured in I-80 crash

OMAHA – A man has died and another person is in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash near Gretna on Interstate 80.
The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. just west of the Highway 370 exit ramp outside Omaha.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office says a 2013 Silver/Blue Hyundai struck a 2001 Blue Saturn from behind, killing the driver and critically injuring the passenger of the Saturn.
Four females in the Hyundai were transported to the hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries.
Westbound lanes of I-80 were closed for several hours as emergency services from Gretna, Bellevue, La Vista and Papillion responded to the incident. Authorities in Sarpy County are investigating the cause of the crash.
