One dead, two injured in crash just outside Grand Island

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Central City woman was killed on Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash just outside of Grand Island.
Just before 6 p.m., first responders were sent to the intersection of East Highway 30 and East Capital Avenue.
According to authorities, a 2020 Ford F-350 was headed west on Highway 30 when the driver of a 2021 Chevy Traverse made an eastbound turn from Capital Avenue onto Highway 30.
The driver of the Chevy Traverse — 70-year-old Carolynn Luce — was taken to St. Francis Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup was taken to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A juvenile passenger in the Traverse was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said seat belts were being used, and alcohol isn’t suspected to be a factor.
The crash is still under investigation.
