UPDATE: One Fatality at 16th & Old Cheney Accident

One person has died in a three car accident in South Lincoln.
It happened at the intersection of 16th and Old Cheney just before 5 p.m.
Police say the victim was attempting to turn left off Old Cheney onto 16th Street when they turned in front of an oncoming vehicle. That collision forced one of the vehicles to then slam into a Fed-Ex delivery truck.
Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to free one of the patients. Three people were hurt and taken to the hospital. The conditions of those injured have not been released.
Lincoln Police shut down the westbound lanes of Old Cheney and remain closed.
