One hospitalized after eastern Nebraska house fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several firefighters battled a blaze Monday night at a home in Plattsmouth.

Volunteer firefighters from Plattsmouth and Murray responded to the house fire.

The Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Department said crews ventilated the roof as the flames reached the attic.

Eventually, crews extinguished the fire.

A person inside the home was taken to a hospital due to smoke inhalation.

The Nebraska State Fire Marshal Agency is investigating the cause.
