One injured, one arrested in north Lincoln shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating a shooting in north Lincoln on Saturday night.

The Lincoln Police Department was called to the scene near Portia and Adams streets around 6:30 p.m.

Officers found a 44-year-old woman with a gunshot wound in the leg.

She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

LPD took 21-year-old Mercedes Kruger into custody.

Kruger is being charged on suspicion of first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
