One injured, one ticketed in south Lincoln crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was injured Tuesday morning in a crash in south Lincoln.
The collision happened about 11:40 p.m. at 17th and Van Dorn streets.
A video on the NOW Local News App shows damage to two vehicles, one of which went off the road.
A 40-year-old Lincoln man driving a northbound Toyota Corolla ran a red light, hitting a Dodge Caravan, according to a Lincoln Police Department crash report.
The driver of the minivan, a 72-year-old Lincoln man, had minor injuries to his legs but was not taken to a hospital.
Police said the driver of the Toyota told them he didn’t see the red light.
He was ticketed, and his vehicle was totaled, according to the crash report.
