One injured, two vehicles heavily damaged in south Lincoln crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was injured Friday afternoon in a crash in south Lincoln.

The crash happened about 4:15 p.m. at 17th Street and Nebraska Parkway, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

A car and a pickup truck collided, and both sustained heavy damage.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene said the front of the car was smashed and the bed of the pickup came apart from the cab.

Police said one person suffered minor injuries but did not need to be taken to a hospital.
