One killed, another seriously injured in crash southwest of Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A person was killed and another was seriously injured late Thursday night in a crash southwest of Lincoln.
The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on Highway 33 near Southwest 42nd Street.
Capt. John Vik with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says it appeared two vehicles had crashed nearly head-on.
When deputies arrived, both vehicles were in a ditch.
A driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, Vik said. The other driver was flown to a hospital in “extremely critical condition.”
An investigation is ongoing.
