LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was killed Monday morning in a crash on a highway in rural Dawson County, the sheriff’s office says.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 30 near Road 438, just east of Lexington.

A sedan was heading west when the driver — 46-year-old Miguel Zamudio-Ceballos of Lexington — lost control on Highway 30.

The sedan then crashed into an eastbound pickup truck, according to the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.

Zamudio-Ceballos was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, a 52-year-old Kearney man, was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The sheriff’s office said weather and road conditions were factors in the crash.

Dawson County is under a blizzard warning until Tuesday morning.
