One killed in northeast Lincoln motorcycle crash

Motorcycle vs. SUV crash at 90th and Adams

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening in a crash in northeast Lincoln.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. near North 90th and Adams streets.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, the motorcyclist was driving east on Adams Street when an SUV turned onto Adams and the two collided.

LPD said speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

Medical personnel performed CPR at the scene where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.

According to LPD, the driver of the SUV is being voluntarily evaluated by an LPD drug recognition expert, although no impairment was suspected on scene.

LPD said the area will be shut down as officers investigate the crash.

It’s the second fatal motorcycle crash in Lincoln in the last 24 hours.  A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night near 48th Street and Leighton Avenue.

The crash is still under investigation.
