One killed in southwest Nebraska airplane crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A person was killed Monday in an airplane crash near McCook.
The crash was reported around noon just southwest of McCook near the Ben Nelson Regional Airport.
Two people were inside the plane, City Manager Nate Schneider said.
One of them was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash site has been cordoned off, and people are asked to avoid the area, Schneider said.
An investigation is ongoing.
