One lane of west Lincoln bridge closes for repair

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Part of a west Lincoln bridge shut down Wednesday for repair.

The eastbound lane of the West South Street bridge over Salt Creek is closed, according to the Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department.

Drivers can use the westbound lane to cross. Traffic is being controlled by a signal.

A Channel 8 reporter saw a hole in the road.

The city did not say when the lane will reopen.

Drivers are asked to take a different route if possible.
