One Lincoln family came together to help crush cancer

Lindsey Berlowitz is a single mother in Lincoln who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of Carcinoma.
It’s inside of her sinus cavity which is currently deteriorating her upper jaw.
Her friends and family rallied together and organized a pancake feed to help raise money while she is fighting cancer.
“I wanted to do something positive to turn a negative into a positive as much as I could,” Danielle Boyce Lindsey’s Sister and event organizer said.
Lindsey is set to have surgery on February 21 which will remove cancer, but it will cause doctors to rebuild the internal structure of her mouth and jaw.
But Lindsey’s doctors say it could leave her without speech for at least one month.
For her right now making sure that her five-year-old son Brayden has a normal life while she fights her cancer is extremely important to her.
“Just trying to keep some sense of normalcy throughout this is my main goal for my son. So it doesn’t flip everything completely upside down and even though there is going to be a lot of adjustment to me,” Lindsey Berlowitz said.
The future for Lindsey can be quite scary, but she says she is ready to face it with all of her friends and families support.
If you would like to help Lindsey you can go to her GoFundMe page or her Facebook page to donate or for more information.
