Update: Person identified in fatal crash in Northeast Nebraska

Update:
The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu that died after she collided with a semi-tractor trailer Monday morning has been identified.
The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office says Johana Benting of Fremont was killed on Highway 92 between Mead and Wahoo, after she was fatally injured in the accident.
The driver of the semi involved in the crash is 79-year-old William E. Schliefert of Wahoo, he was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.

MEAD, Neb. (AP) – Authorities say a car driver was killed in a collision between a cement truck and her car in eastern Nebraska’s Saunders County.
The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 77/Nebraska Highway 92, about 2{ miles (3.2 kilometers) west of Mead.
Authorities say the westbound car crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the truck. The truck driver was taken to a hospital. T
