One person recovering after crashing into tree in South Lincoln

South 40th Street is back open after a driver crashed into a tree.
It happened Sunday morning just after 11 a.m. near 40th and Pioneers.
Lincoln Police say the driver was traveling along South 40th when they hit a patch of ice causing their car to slide and crash into a tree.
The person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
LPD is reminding drivers that while many roads just look wet they’re actually still ice covered.
